Why are you expanding to Anything Local.org?
We are expanding due to the online success of The Home Improvement Network
and to promote our local businesses online rather than consumers going to shop
for something online from an out-of-state company or a retail giant. We want
consumers to be able to find YOU!
Why is membership so inexpensive?
We want everyone from a "one-man operation" to a business with several
employees to be able to afford membership. Furthermore, we don't feel that getting
your name out there should be so expensive. We have even had Members ask if
our yearly dues were monthly dues because it was so inexpensive.
Can I upgrade my Membership Listing Option at a later date?
Yes. Just let us know, and you will be billed the difference in the two options.
Why are you waiting until "Launch" to begin marketing?
In my opinion, if we are going to spend tons of money marketing, we want our web
site to be complete for consumers to be able to find you. There is no sense
advertising just to draw consumers to the site with no listings posted.
How many members must you get before we "Launch"?
The minimum number of members will be around 50. Then we will "Launch" and
begin our marketing campaign. Due to the overwhelming response, I would guess
we will launch with many more members than that.
If I join today, when will my membership dues be due again?
You dues will begin one year from "Launch". If that is December 15, 2007, then
your dues will be due again on December 15, 2008. Basically, our fiscal year will
begin when we "Launch".
Isn't this like WV Your Way or other online directories?
Absolutely Not! Anything Local.org is set up in an easy to navigate fashion where
consumers don't have to "type" and select from a lot of drop down menus, all while
being bombarded with a ton of pop up advertisements. I visited the WV Your Way
website and tried to search for a coffee shop in North Central WV with their "patent
pending search mechanism" and no results were displayed. Furthermore, Anything
Local is a local organization (not a franchise), covering only the North Central West
Virginia Region, not the state, not multiple states, not the nation, just North Central
West Virginia. There are over 250,000 residents in the NCWV Region, plenty
enough population to promote our businesses to.
